- ½ cup (120 ml) whole milk, room temperature: Wet Ingredients
- 2 tbsp honey: Optional Glaze
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter: Optional Glaze
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C):
- Grease and flour a 9x5-inch (23x13 cm) loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
- Sift dry ingredients:
- In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream butter and sugar:
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
- Add honey:

- Add dry ingredients and milk:

- Into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake:
- Bake for 50&55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool:
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- Optional glaze:
- Melt 2 tbsp honey with 1 tbsp butter and brush over the warm cake.
