Recipe FAQ

What is the best beef blend for the patties?

An 80/20 ground beef blend offers the right balance of fat and lean, ensuring juicy and flavorful patties.

How do I get the patties crispy?

Press the ground beef thin on a very hot cast-iron skillet and cook without moving for 1-2 minutes to develop crisp edges.

Can I prepare the special sauce ahead of time?

Yes, the creamy sauce made with mayo, ketchup, mustard, and pickles can be refrigerated a few hours before assembling.

What’s the purpose of toasting the slider buns?

Toasting with melted butter creates a golden, slightly crispy surface that adds flavor and prevents sogginess.

Are there any simple variations to try?

Try adding a thin tomato slice or shredded lettuce for extra freshness, or swap cheddar with American cheese for a classic twist.

How soon should these be served after cooking?

Serve immediately while patties are hot and crispy, or keep warm in a low oven for up to 15 minutes without losing texture.
